Every Watch Deserves Quiet, Careful Attention
At Thida, each piece is received with curiosity and handled with patience — from a simple service to a detailed antique restoration. We take time to explain what we find, so you always know what comes next.
What We Offer
Three Levels of Care
Each service is matched to what your watch actually needs — nothing more, nothing less.
Inspection & Light Service
A clear assessment followed by a light service — cleaning of accessible parts, gentle lubrication, timing adjustment, and a seal review. Everything found is noted plainly, so you can decide on any further work with full understanding. About one to two weeks.
- Condition assessment report
- Cleaning of accessible parts
- Timing regulation
- Seal condition review
Movement Overhaul
A complete overhaul for movements that have become unreliable. Everything is disassembled, cleaned, and re-oiled, with the balance, escapement, and mainspring reviewed and renewed where needed. Timing regulated across positions. Roughly three weeks.
- Full disassembly and ultrasonic cleaning
- Balance and escapement review
- Mainspring renewal if needed
- Multi-position timing regulation
Antique Restoration
A patient restoration for antique and early mechanical watches. Movement overhauled with period-appropriate methods; case and dial conserved to honour their age. Preservation choices are discussed with you openly. Six to nine weeks.
- Period-appropriate overhaul methods
- Case and dial conservation
- Open dialogue on all choices
- Original character preserved
Why Thida
Handled with Intention
A few things that matter to us — and, we think, to you too.
Clear Assessment First
Before any work begins, we document what we find and share it with you. You decide what happens next — no surprises, no pressure.
Unhurried, Thorough Work
Good watchwork cannot be rushed. We give each piece the time it needs, working methodically through every component.
Plain Language Updates
We explain findings in ordinary terms — no jargon, no assumption of prior knowledge. You stay informed throughout the process.
Your Watch, Respected
Antique pieces are treated as objects with history, not just mechanisms. Originality is preserved wherever doing so serves the watch.
Specialist Tools
From ultrasonic cleaning baths to regulated timing equipment, the right tools are used for each type of movement and era.
Local, Accessible
Based in Udon Thani, we're easy to reach for drop-off and collection. Walk-ins are welcome during opening hours.

Questions
What People Often Ask
How do I begin? What should I bring?
Simply bring your watch to us at 76 Pho Si Road during opening hours. We'll look at it together, note what we observe, and explain any work that might be worthwhile. There's no commitment at the intake stage.
Do I have to agree to work before you assess it?
No. The assessment comes first. We document our findings and walk you through them clearly. You decide whether to proceed with any service after hearing what we suggest.
How long does a service take?
Inspection and light service: roughly one to two weeks. A movement overhaul takes about three weeks. Antique restoration, where patience matters most, is six to nine weeks. We'll always give you an honest timeframe at intake.
What types of watches do you work on?
Mechanical and automatic movements, including antique pocket watches and early wristwatches. If you have something unusual, feel free to describe it to us and we'll let you know whether it's within our scope.
Will you polish my watch case?
Only if you'd like us to, and only after discussing how it might affect the character of the piece. We generally lean toward conservation — retaining original finishing unless a clear improvement is requested.
What do your prices include?
Each service price covers labour, standard lubricants, and the work described. Parts that need replacing — such as a mainspring or worn jewels — are discussed separately before any additional cost is incurred.
